I am a white Canadian, andlive in Grand Forks B.C. now, I wished I could attend your reception, However, I do want to express my happyness that this federal government is reckognizing the history of OUR Chi9nese Canadians. I for one have a deep interest in all that the early Chinese acomplished, under such trying times. I know we are all thankful to our Chinese Canadian brothers and sisters, and I want to say THANK YOU !!!! I am 71 years old now, but will be making my 4th trip to Foshan and Guangzhou to teach english to Chinese children who come from poor families.
